Description
Snow ‘N Summer is an outstanding Asian Jasmine cultivar featuring dramatic tricolor foliage that will light up those shady areas of the garden. The new growth emerges a striking pink to pinkish-red color before turning solid white. The white leaves then turn to a deep emerald green flecked in white. The combination of all these colors is truly spectacular, and you’ll be happy to know it produces these bright colors even in shade. If that isn’t enough appeal, fragrant white flowers typical of Jasmine add sensory appeal to the garden during summer!
For our customers who live and garden north of USDA Plant Hardiness Zone 7a, where this Asian Jasmine is not reliably winter hardy, you’ll be happy to know it can be grown in containers that can be brought indoors during winter and placed back outside when temperatures warm up in spring.
Landscape & Garden Uses
Snow ‘N Summer Asiatic Jasmine is an exceptionally versatile plant with many uses in landscape and garden design. Although it makes a delightful groundcover that lights up shady to partly shaded spots, it can also be used as a climber on trellises, fences and other structures that provide support. It also brightens up container gardens and hanging baskets where it can be used as an accent plant or underplanting that will dramatically spill over the containers edge. Because it thrives in shade, it is perfect for use under the canopies of large shade trees, decks or other overhead structures. A fine addition pink or white theme gardens, Asian gardens and fragrance gardens!

Cultural Preferences
Snow ‘N Summer Asiatic Jasmine is exceptionally easy to grow. It tolerates many soil types, including clay, but prefers and will spread faster in a moist but well-drained, loamy soil. It will tolerate temporary flooding but does not like constantly soggy or wet soil. This one likes life on the shady side. That said, morning sun is fine. Established plants are quite drought tolerant.

Very pretty and resilient plant that was growing around large tree that had to be removed. So transplanted all nature plants in worst circumstances and time of year. All are doing good except for two that I had doubts about anyway. These I ordered from Wilson and as always they arrived in perfect condition and are doing great.

Had purchased one of these to try because we were right outside zone 7 (zone 6b) a few years ago. Has done well through winters with light mulched leaves. Recently purchased another one. Both are doing great and love the change of colors. Still cannot determine a strong fragrance as other jasmine, but nice addition. I have been looking at these plants on the Wilson Bros. site for a long time as I was trying to decide if I had a good place for one or more. My first plant came in Jan. and was very nice – still exhibiting some pink, white & green colors. I liked it so much that I decided to buy 3 more. Other plants came in Feb in very good shape. These were really good size plants in 1 gal. containers. The Feb. plants were reddish in color – probably due to colder temperatures. I bought three early fall arrived great condition. Lasted about one month they were even spreading but rabbits ate the leaves even the stems. We then put up two foot high fencing and purchased netting and ran wire through I thought all openings. Purchased three more plants arrived on time and again great condition. Covered the whole area with netting. The rabbits ate through the netting and ate all but a small amount of one plant. I have run wire through every posssible opening in the fence parallel and perpendicular to the ground. I am hoping the roots of this plant will be able to come back if not I am out of several hundred dollars between plants ,fencing and netting . Again not Wilson bros fault just good quality for Hungary rabbits.——————————————–We are glad you were pleased with your purchases! I am really excited about this plant. I bought 3 and planted them in different locations. I am in zone 7A, so in the northern tip of its range. The plants arrived in beautiful shape and transplanted nicely. I have seen new growth on 2 of the plants. As usual, the 5 Asiatic jasmine that I ordered came neatly and safely packaged. I cannot get over what great care is taken to deliver plants in perfect condition. We planted our jasmine about 6 weeks ago, and it is trailing nicely under our oak tree. We had a tone of rain for an entire week, which caused them to really take off! The pink/white/green mix of colors is so unique. I just love these. We even have a handful of leftover caladiums that came back up this year, and the colors look really good together. I expect the jasmine to eventually overtake the caladiums by next year, but in the meantime, the combination looks really pretty. Love, love, love Wilson Brothers Gardens! I ordered 2 of these. The size of each was larger than I expected. I already had one of these in my garden and the new leaves grow white and true pink on top of the old leaves which are green — tricolor. It makes a gorgeous ground cover. I plan on adding more of this Jasmine each year. The vining Jasmines make the best ground cover — completely choking out weeds. I have a large area, near the driveway, covered in Jasmine and I never have to weed that area. I plant it mostly where I have trees and bushes. It will get tall enough to crowd out small plants; so I use it to cover a large area when I can not fill the area with plants. Through some glitch the order didn’t get canceled, unbeknownst to me. Recently lost a huge pot of this Jasmine, due to tree service misplacing the container, this fall. I can not remember how long I had this Jasmine, but I loved watching the colors change with season. It even had leaves that turned a beautiful red in the fall and winter. I tried to find at some local nurseries to no avail. Even the business where I initially bought could not locate get their wholesaler. Some on line dealers came up, but had “not available with no restock date” But I found “The Brothers” and ordered because of the free shipping and price reduction of more than one ordered.Needless to say, I am thrilled that I found. I was very pleased with the promptness and packing of the plant. I have recently found some of the old vines growing in the bed and am glad I now can share with friends.
