Confederate Jasmine Vine (Trachelospermum Jasminoides) – 1 Gallon Pot

So I was ordering a fig tree anyway. It’s autumn, might as well check the SALE items. Confederate Jasmine, yes, please! What a nicely grown plant at a very fair price. Potted up and in the greenhouse a week now and it’s bursting with new growth. A few blossoms before it takes a rest for winter? That would be fine. Wilson Bros Gardens is legit. I’ve purchased a good number of special plants online and can’t remember being more satisfied. I will order again from the Bros. Thanks! I have been buying plants for several years online. When ordering shrubs, vines the pants I received are so small. For example I ordered LILAC BUSH, it was less than 3 inches tall. I had to keep it in pot for another year before planting, Still have about 3 more years before I expect it to bloom. The plants I have ordered form Wilson Bros are large enough to plant on arrival. They a healthy nice size plants, and not much more expensive than the other very small plants I have received, I do not have to wait years to see the plant in full bloom. I purchased these Confederate Jasmine plants to be trellis climbers in my raised bed water trough. One was very mature with climbers already at work while the other was just a baby but has at last latched on to the trellis. I ordered nine 1-gal Confederate Jasmine for our back yard. The order was immediately acknowledged and a few days later I received email notice of shipment. About three days and two boxes arrived with very carefully packed plants…larger in growth than I anticipated…looking healthy and well tended. I planted them promptly (the following day) in the spots envisioned. Only when picking up the empty pots did I realize that two plants were in fact Caolina Jasmine. I quickly looked those up on Wilson’s webpage and was amazed that the two are totally different colors. My wife and I assured ourselves that the two “odd” plants would fit the scape fine. Breathe…called Wilson Bros and spoke with a charming woman about the issue…not to “fix” the oversight but just as heads-up for their shipping department and inventory. All good and now, several weeks later, all nine plants are still healthy and well. Only time will tell if the envisioned effect will come to fruition. The fragrance of this plant is wonderful. I purchased two plants to climb on a fence on ether side of a gate. The plants were delivered quickly and in excellent condition despite the fact that the delivery service obviously mishandled the box. The delivery person was so concerned he asked me to open the box while he was there. The plants were packaged so securely that there was absolutely no damage. Healthy plants and even in flower. The plants were on a small trellis to hold the vines in place. It was easy to unwind the plants from the trellis in order to wind them up my fence. That was about two weeks ago. They are already climbing my fence and blooming profusely. I definitely recommend this plant, particularly from Wilson Bros due to health and vigor of the plant and excellent packaging.——————————————-That’s so awesome! Plant came undamaged in excellent condition! Planted in a large pot adding sand for drainage and adding used coffee grounds to potting soil. It is growing everyday and already flowering after 2 days. I love the fragrance of this plant but could never get one to live. Hoping I can keep this one for a long time.. The privit came VERY well packaged. It took longer to open the box and remove the plants with all the staples that I still had a box level with packing material. They were ALL perfectly fine and healthy. I’m moving them from spot to spot along the fence to see where they would look and filter dust from the lane best.
Now, the hollys came very well packaged and healthy! The jasmine did as well, but, one of the jasmines had lost half of its soil. It was scattered all over the inside of the box. I put it back into the pot but when I unspotted it to plant it today, all of the soil tumbled out into the hole I had dug for it. I tried to filter loose soil around and through the ball shaped tangle of roots, tapping as I went until the roots were well covered before putting it in the hole, then added a mounding of soil as well. I suppose after a good soaking the mound will work its way around and through the roots a bit more thoroughly.
I love the looks of the holly!–and!–it is flowering already! I planted them along the patio where it gets filtered morning and nearly full afternoon sun. Both of them look quite nice viewed from inside the house AND from the lane. The jasmine is planted on each corner to the right and left of the holly. I have built a bamboo trellis for them to climb on. There is a pergola over the patio and when the white flowers bloom, they will look quite striking next to the pergola’s redwood posts.!

I purchased some confederate jasmine because the fragrance smells so similar to gardenias but is more likely to survive. The plant was delivered to my door in great shape and was secured in the box to a support so that the vines did not snap in transit.
